Strategies-Programs-Ministerial and Regional Opportunities
Analysis, information and projections.
"We do not live only for tourism, projected into the planning of the economic future of the Balearic Islands is the theme on which we will try to work in the coming years to create new development opportunities, the new slogan is to" diversify " . An economy based only on the pillars of tourism and construction can no longer be enough and is a model that can not provide security and prospects for the futuro.La building moratorium in respect of settlements and tourist facilities is the first sign of the will to stop real estate speculation but also the awareness that reached a certain level of receptivity to continue the trend to date would not be supported as possible and in any case, convenient.
Projected to emerging markets in Africa and South America
The Balearic Islands, European logistics platform of low taxation, are historically associated with international trade between the various continents; fact highly relevant to the present day which sees these Islands, for reasons of geographical proximity, is appropriate as a platform for logistics that the "launch" of trade missions and trading to the emerging market represented Africa. It reinforces the role of "European hub for global trade" of the Balearic Islands is due to frequent maritime connections (especially to Morocco, Mauritania, Senegal , and Cape Verde) and through cargo and passenger flights for Africa as well as for South America (Brazil).
There are also two major projects undertaken by the Spanish diplomacy to bring further and consolidate some preferential relationships already in place with the West African country through programs called "Casa de Africa" and "NAPWACI. This new scenario thus allows European companies to use the Balearic not only open up to the American continent (both North and South) but above all to "attack" the new African markets with the benefit of the various modules and solutions for low taxation.
"InfoBaleari" in collaboration with its partners and government, and public, organize meetings and initiatives to disseminate all the information mentioned in order to provide a complete picture on the above and explain what services and assistance can be offered to anyone, at any level, or intend to operate from the Balearic Islands.
The institutions and political forces interested in the economic development of the Balearic Islands, consider activities of strategic importance to the research and development, innovation and modernization, logistics and advanced services, technology services, computer and ICT, biotechnology, automation, robotics, micro robotics and nanotechnology , recycling and environmental protection, renewable energy.
Space for new productive activities and enhancement of existing targeted for export.
As I said trying to diversify and create alternative economic engine for tourism and to industries that this creates.
We see therefore welcome projects and business initiatives that can meet the following requirements:
* Better use and exploitation of resources (both human and otherwise) that the different islands can offer
* Creation of new production activities designed to export.
* The activities are not yet a source of origin and in turn production of industrial process waste or harmful to the land and the ecosystem. For example, activities like the latter mentioned can be contemplated if their presence is expected to finalize and / or finishing products.
* The potentially most qualified production activities are also those that can be introduced and in turn generate new professionals.
* We believe that those activities are facilitated whose products are not cumbersome, weight, volume, portable, possibly with a fair value.
Recently, institutional bodies and enforcement agencies have initiated a special promotion and information to the African and European market for products such as:
* Fine Wines
* Cheese typical fine
* IGAR and cigarillos
* Ornamental Tropical Plants
In particular, we are exporting to Africa several industrial products such as appliances, new and used cars and related parts, machinery and building materials and construction in general and for food products of all kinds. To make a due analysis should also be remembered, not to mention that the special tax regime enjoyed by the Balearic Islands is in fact a tool designed and created to diversify the economy of the Balearic Islands, fight unemployment and to compensate, somehow, discomfort given the geographical distance from Europe, which is part, however, to encourage investment that can come from outside. The distance from mainland Europe is a condition that will never change for that reason this will always be able to offer Archipelago opportunities and tax regime (compared to that existing in Italy) very interesting.
